A market price, not an opinion
Cask values have traditionally come from a broker's periodic estimate. The Exchange prices positions against actual market activity instead — completed trades, live bids, asking prices and auction results, each weighted by how reliable a signal it is.
What an owner sees

- Movement since acquisition, in both cash and percentage terms
- Bid–ask depth against buyers who have already been verified
- A full history of how each valuation was arrived at
The whisky never moves
Casks stay in bonded warehousing throughout. A sale transfers the delivery order into the buyer's name — the liquid stays exactly where it is, which is what keeps it insured, in bond, and maturing.
An auditable record
Every valuation is written as a dated record that is never overwritten. Corrections are added as new entries rather than edits, so the history of a cask's value can always be reconstructed as it stood at the time.
